Wellington County provides Station Road with support services for children with special needs.
Rhonda Bond is a passionate and creative teacher who inspires learning in all her students through her enthusiasm, caring and outgoing personality. Rhonda has over 20 years of experience in the ECE field, with over 9 of those years in a supervisory role. Her educational background includes an Early Childhood Education Diploma from Sheridan College as well as several University credits towards a Bachelor of Arts. Being a believer in education she has also attended numerous workshops and seminars relating to her chosen field over the years. Rhonda spent 13 years as a teacher and supervisor before Station Road Nursery School was lucky enough to hire her. She has been with SRNS for over 6 years and is the Supervisor, as well as the teacher for the Owl class.
Chricket Yule has been with Station Road Nursery School for years, both before and after her children were born, and has been instrumental in maintaining the enthusiasm, warmth and professionalism within the school. She has a Bachelors of Arts in Child Psychology from Western University and also is a Primary Specialist, obtaining her training from Toronto’s Teachers College. Chricket often refers to her students as “little sponges” as the children take in so much and are keen and inquisitive. She has a gift for working with children and also views the rest of her colleagues as an amazing, creative, fun and inspiring team to work with.
Deborah Vaillancourt has been teaching the Teddy Bears for 3 years. She is a warm and caring teacher who is dedicated to bringing out the best in children. Deborah has a B.A. in Exceptionality in Human Learning form the University of Toronto and an Early Childhood Education Diploma from Sheridan College.
Deb is continuously taking courses to bring new and exciting ideas to the classroom and to learn more about the development of children. She believes in creating the optimum environment for each unique child to feel confident and comfortable in while learning.
Tracy Stott has an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Trent University and has worked at Station Road since 2005. She is the teacher for the Koala Bears where she enjoys discovering and exploring the world with our young students. Tracy has also taken on the role of Office Assistant, providing administrative support to the Supervisor and the Board. She is extremely organized and efficient and helps to keep the school running smoothly. Her classroom is always filled with exciting educational activities and she strives to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere within the room.
Kim Newman has been with Station Road since 2001. In addition to being a classroom assistant, Kim has taken on the challenge of cooking and baking for the Hot Lunch Program. She has successfully completed the Food Handlers course and is enjoying experimenting with new, nutritious recipes! Kim also works as an Inclusion Facilitator with special needs students.
Pamela Cook has a degree in Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo and has worked in a variety of children's mental health facilities and disability management settings since graduating from university. Pamela enjoys being part of the SRNS team and guiding the children in new learning opportunities and experiences.
Connie Lewis is our Lead French Teacher. Her educational background includes an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and Honours Diploma in Computer Programming and Systems Analysis. Over the past 7 years, Connie has found her passion in teaching. She is a French reading tutor at one of the local schools as well as a Private Reading Instructor.
Dottie Petersen is a wonderful addition to our school. The Honey Bees love her quiet , gentle and calm ways. She spends much time with each child, giving them lots of invidual attention.
